About Jaguar Mark IX

The model was introduced to the public in 1958 at theEarls Court Motor Show”. Early versions completely replicated the body of the Jaguar Mk VIII, but later, rear turn signal indicators were added to the car.

The new model was distinguished primarily by technical changes: a 3.8-liter engine producing 220 horsepower, disc brakes on all wheels, power steering as a standard option, and a redesigned ventilation and heating system for the cabin.

The car remained in production until August 1961, after which the Jaguar Mk X was launched. A total of 10,005 cars were produced: 5,984 with right-hand drive and 4,021 with left-hand drive.
