The Wolseley Hornet Swallow 4-seater is a 4-seater model from Swallow Coachbuilding built on a Wolseley Hornet chassis.
4-seat model, which began production in October 1931. It is a continuation of the Wolseley Hornet Swallow series, namely a more spacious version of the 2-seater Wolseley Hornet Swallow 2-seater.
At the beginning, the model was built on the standard "Wolseley Hornet" chassis, but in the spring of 1932, production switched to the new "Hornet Special" chassis.
Together with the Wolseley Hornet Swallow 2-seater, this model was able to last until 1933, when the production of bodies on third-party chassis was stopped, and the era of SS - personal cars developed in "Swallow" began.
Approximately 409 cars were built:
The first cars sold for £225, but by the end of 1932 the price had risen to £260 (possibly due to the new and improved Special chassis).
The selling company's advertising slogan was The Swallow touch that means so much.
